SWEET & TOXIC...

Hello everyone. I hope that you are all having a great start to your Thursday. I am in a bit of a rush this morning, so this is going to be a quickie today. Yesterday in the mail I rec'd my Sweet & Toxic Anya stamp set and I just had to color her up... She is just so darn cute! I started off thinking along the lines of a Halloween card, but somewhere along the way she kind of turned into a Goth meets Halloween meets I love you card...Sooooo, I don't know for sure what kind of card she is, but boy do I love how she turned out. I had a lot of fun coloring her and then fussy cutting her skulls so that I could pop them up. You remember when you had pig tails and the little bobbles would stick out, well that was what I was going for. I used Glossy accents on them as well. You really can't see it in the pictures, but it turned out just like I wanted it to. I even decided that she needed to have a black flower so I tried my hand at coloring one of my white Primas. Talk about easy peasy....lol...I love it.
Don't forget that Amy Young is still having some Sweet November sneak peaks so be sure to head on over and check them out. You can see all of her wonderful stamps here.
Well guys, I have to run. Work is calling. Have a super SWEET day and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

FOOLING AROUND...

Good morning all.
I have to admit that yesterday I had the best intentions of coming home from work and making up a wonderful card to post for you today. What I didn't plan on was both Mitchell and Madison having 7th grade math homework that they needed my help on and that we were out of bread and a few other things... So, after going back to the store and buying a few groceries I rushed home to help the kids with their homework while Jerry put together dinner. :O) The next thing I knew it was 8 o'clock and time for all of us to get our GLee on... heehee What can I say, that is the fastest hour of the entire week for all of us. Anyway because of my lack of attention to the real world I didn't get my wonderful card made. So all I have to share with you this morning is some candy bags that I was playing around with on Friday night. I didn't have any Halloween candy, so I borrowed some of Jerry's Almond Joys just to get the feel for it. I didn't really decorate them. In fact I can't believe that I didn't even put a stamp on them or use any of my Copics. I do like how fun and easy they are to put together. I think I will have the kids help me make a few for their friends come Halloween. I think that would be the OK thing to give your friends in middle school. Don't you?
I have a half day today. So as we still have not gotten around to winterizing our pool yet we are planning on doing that this afternoon. We have been having an Indian summer all of a sudden so I figure we need to get it done before the snow starts to fall. You just never know around here when the seasons will show up... lol....
Oh, and before I say goodbye be sure to head over to Amy's for more of her Sweet November Stamps that are coming out soon.
Have a great day and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

TRICK OR TREAT...

Hi guys.
I hope that you all had a great Monday. Wow, we were so busy at work that the day just flew by. I am so NOT complaining as it was one of those days that you are just so busy, but everything goes really smooth...Yay! Thanks for all the sweet comments about my Bear card from yesterday. He was just one of those cards that I started coloring and when I finished it just worked out so nice. :D
I have a couple things to mention before we get to my card today. First off is Miss Amy Young's Sweet November Stamps previews are starting today. Make sure to check them out here. I haven't seen them yet, but I am positive that they are going to be awesome! Second, Sweet Pea Stamps is having a blog hop for their two new designers. You can check them out here. I can bet that you already know about both, but just in case. heehee
Ok, now onto my card for today. I just had to purchase one of the newest digi's from The Greeting Farm. So today I am using Halloween Witch. I think she is just so adorable. You will notice though that she is a young witch and still taking broomer's ed, so she has on her purple hat. She will be getting her black one if and when she passes her broom test. Then she will be a full fledged flier. lol... I do have to let you know that she has been working real hard on it so I am sure she will pass with flying colors. (Pun intended!) heehee
Alright, it's off to work for me so I need to get a move on. Have a super Tuesday and I will talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G

HAPPY AUTUMN...

Hi guys. Now don't fall over.... I am actually feeling a lot better than I did last week, so I was able to make a few cards yesterday. Making up some cards helped me to relax after someone decided that they liked my Blackberry phone better than me and stole it when Jerry and I ran to the store. I swear I just turned around to look at something he was showing me and when I turned around it was gone. It's not too bad as I have insurance on it, I just have to pay the $90 deductable on it and then they will send me a new one. Gggrrrr! I don't know about your weather, but yesterday and Saturday were both just fantastic and on the very warm side. heehee.... You sure do get out of the mood for fall when it's 80 outside... :D
I was in the process of making a second Halloween card, when I ran across this adorable digi bear holding his pumpkin. I am very sorry to admit that I don't even know who the wonderful creator of this digi is. I can't remember if he was a free digi or if someone sent him to me. (He was already printed and in my drawer.) So, let me say I am sorry for not giving credit where credit is due. I just think he is just so cute so I thought that he needed to be sitting in the middle of a huge pile of Autumn leaves enjoying a fine fall morning. You can just see him being so proud of that pumpkin. heehee...
Well, it is Monday again so I better get a move on. I hope that you all had a great weekend and a super start to your week. I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

COLD MEDICINE AND WORK DOES NOT A CARD MAKE...

Hi guys.

I am heading off to work this morning and I just realized that I have not posted anything this week. I am getting a cold or something and I have been working , so I have had noooo energy to be crafty at all.. :0( I have been taking Dayquil and NyQuil, but it isn't helping very much. I am just trying to get through today at work (a short one) and then I am going to come home and get some rest! I hope to have something made up for all of you come Monday. So, until then I thought that I would share with you a very cute picture of Lucy taking a geography lesson from Jerry. heehee You see every time I get a new follower on my blog he always wants to know where they are from. Once he knows he will go into Mitchell's room to show me where they are on our world map. Mind you he wants to put pins in it, but I won't let him... On Sunday we were doing this very thing when we looked down Lucy was on the bed watching what he was doing. I am not kidding this is what she was doing. It just looked so funny , I just had to laugh and take a picture of it all. Jerry hates to have his picture taken, so I am not going to let him know that I shared this with everyone....heehee :D
Have a great day everyone. Hugs, Lisa G

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE...

Hi guys.
Well, this was going to be a quick post. Then I attempted to load my pictures and everything was dumped off the face of the world. Soooo, now this is going to be uber quick.
I was playing around with my new Tickled Pink- Lil Lolita stamps and decided that I just had to make a card with 20's Evie. I just love her sweetness and she just had to have some lace and soft colors to go with her. lol.....I swear my supply list is going to be longer than my post. I sure hope you all have a wonderful day. I am off to a very long day as we have an audit at work today.. Uggghhhh! Anyway, have a good one. Thanks for all the sweet comments yesterday. Hugs, Lisa G

SPOOKY SWEETS...

Good morning to you all. Yes, it is once again Monday. Wow is this year flying by or what? I had Friday off and I thought to myself "Yay, three days off . I can get so much done and maybe even get some fun time in too." Well, it's Monday again and it seems like just a blink of an eye when I had that thought. lol...
So I will quit complaining about the fact that a new week is starting and get to my card. I just had to use my newest stamp Halloween She devil-digi that I won from the awesome Greeting Farm from last weeks CA&F Saturday Sketch Challenge... Once again thank you TGF. I love you guys and your stamps. I think that she is just adorable! Last year Madison was a little red she devil for Halloween, so how I wanted to color her was a no brainer...I also tried to use some of my papers that I have had forever and just had fun making this one. I have to give the credit of how I colored her hair to Amy Young's wonderful tutorials over at Color Me Copic. I have found some very fun and very easy ways of coloring hair. Thanks Amy. You can also check out Amy's talents at A thousand sheets of paper.
Well, I had better start getting the kiddos going so that we all can get this new week started. I hope that you all have a great day.

FRIENDS FOREVER...

Hi guys.
Sorry that I have been lazy this week. I am trying to come down with a cold or something and I decided that the world would not end if I didn't post a card everyday this week... heehee I did however have yesterday off so I made this card for the Lil Lolita Boutique Challenge #5. The challenge is to use buttons on your project. Well, who among us does not have a stash of buttons? I would be embarrassed to show you how many buttons I have... lol They just look so pretty in their packages. I really want to get some of the ones from Paper Tray Inc, but I just haven't yet. They sure do look pretty though.
Ok, getting back to my card, I used some BIG buttons that I bought a long time ago and I finally decided that it was the perfect time to use them up. They fit right in with my 60's Willow so how could I not use them.
I hope that everyone is having a great start to their weekend. I am hoping to get some work done. Have a great day. Hugs, Lisa G

SCOOBY-DOO! WHERE ARE YOU?

Hi guys.

I hope that you all had a great Tuesday and that you are ready for go for hump-day. I am so looking forward the this week being over I tell ya. It has really just been one of those weeks at work, and the kids are trying to get back into the grove of school. Let me just interject here that we are sooooo not into the routine yet! Last night after work, I was so ready to watch the last two episodes of Glee before the season premiere next week, but oh no. We had ourselves a major meltdown right in the middle of the whole thing. UUGgghhh! Who says that boys don't have hormones and cry like girls during it for no reason whats so ever? Who ever it was should have been at my house last night. It started out that he didn't want to finish his homework as he was tired, then of course when that was done he wasn't tired and did not want to go to bed.....
Anyway, I colored this up late last night to give me some down time after the meltdown. I just needed a break from all three of them. That includes Jerry...(sorry hon I love you but OMG!) I really don't have a supply list to go with it as I was just coloring. I will say that from the time I first laid eyes on this wonderful stamp from Tickled Pink stamps (her name is Kollita) she just reminded me of Daphne from Scooby-doo. So as you can see I tried to get her into the whole Scooby feel... heehee...
Hope you have a good day. I am hoping for a better one over here. Talk at you tomorrow.
Hugs, Lisa G
I just discovered that I forgot to mention that I was coloring this girl for the #4 challenge over at Color Me Copic. So be sure to check out Amy's latest video on how she colors straight hair. You are really going to enjoy it. Until next time. :D

FRIENDS AND CA&F SKETCH..

Hi guys.
This is going to be a quick post today. I have to be at work early and I didn't get home from the kids' school until after 8pm last night. That makes for a very long day... So with that I am making it a little easier on myself this morning and I am sharing my CA&F card that I made for Pam's wonderful sketch. It is a super simple card, but I really love how Anya turned out for this one. I was playing around with my new found hair color and style of coloring...That's right check out Color Me Copic and Amy Young's newest video... I am now obsessed with this color set. I love it! Thanks Amy.
Oh, and before I forget.. I want to wish my baby brother a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Yesterday was his birthday and I had such a cram packed day that I never did get the chance to talk to him, just to send his wife a text wishing him a Happy Bday.. . So really Happy Birthday Rick! His is a lot younger than me and our sister, so he was always our baby too. When he was in high school during one of his football practices we had him tutu ed. (remember those) The guy came across the field in a pink tutu calling for Tiger Kitten (Tiger was his nickname as a little boy). It was hilarious. He is now 37! :D Sorry just could not resist... We Love you Rick. Hope you had a great Birthday.
Ok guys, I am out of here. Have a great day.

BEST FRIENDS....

Hi Guys.
I hope that you all had a great weekend. Mine was short, but I really did get a lot done. After work on Saturday I was still feeling like I was coming down with a cold, so I actually went in and took a two hour nap... Mind you, I never take naps. I might dose on the couch or in a chair for 10 or 15 minutes, but I never take a nap. Let me just say it was a very good nap... It really did help. I am still coming down with a cold but I do feel a little more rested. Yesterday when we all got up for the day I actually had the energy to go in and super clean the kids' rooms... I love it when the house is uber clean. You just feel like it's a brand new place. Every time I walked into the bedrooms to put the laundry away I just smiled to see everything in it's place...Yay!
Ok, I will get to why you are here and that is to see my newest card. I am happy to say that I finally purchased a stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps and I am loving it. I was so excited to see that they were doing a second (limited) digi release of the Lil Lolitas...Yay! I just love these gals and their big eyes. I know I have said it before, but I just love coloring the eyes. So, my card today was made using Fashionette 60's Ivy. She is just so cute. I have to confess that I also colored her using the technic from Amy Y over at the Color Me Copic blog. It is a great video about how you can color images with straight hair. Check it out here.... I know you will love it.
Well, it is early here and I need to hit the shower before I head off to work. Have a great day all and I will talk at you tomorrow. Hugs, Lisa G

SUPER QUICK POST...

Hi guys.
I am sorry, but this is going to be a quick one today. I am running late this morning and still have to get both kids to school. I am sorry I missed you all yesterday. Yesterday?! What a day. It turned out ok, but it sure had some very challenging moments. You know, no matter how old you get there are still times when you just have to call Mommy and Daddy to help out. Well, all I am going to say is for a little while yesterday it was a call Daddy kid of day for me. I am happy to report that the day ended on a happier note. So I will quit complaining. lol...
For today's post I would introduce you to Sterling... Sterling is an outdoor cat that has adopted our family. He is a blue tip Siamese cat that is just so sweet and loves to come over for all the attention that he gets from all four of us. It started out that he would visit Jerry when he go out to mow the lawn or clean out the car, but now he comes over a lot. As you know our Lucy never goes outside. I never wanted her to be an outdoor cat as they tend to get in fights, get run over and a whole bunch of other problems. As far as Lucy is concerned it is just beneath her to even consider it anyway. She will stand at the door while we bring in the groceries, and she will even let Jerry hold her on the porch just to get some fresh air. However she has no interest in the great outdoors. So getting back to Sterling...We have no idea who he belongs to, but he sure likes to hang around our house and let us love him up. Finally tonight the kids and I named him sterling after Sterling silver the metal. He seems to be in good health and is well taken care of so I am sure he has a family. He is just like velvet and he has such a wonderful structure to him that I just had to take some pictures to share with everyone.
Ok, I will let you go. I promise to share some crafting with you tomorrow, but until then have a super day.
Hugs, Lisa G
